The biggest thing you have to weigh is the price..how good of a deal compared to what people ask in the market.

Obviously you like the coupe..and you picked the top of the line the 600.. In my opionion though , i think 97-99 they tweeked most of the little problems one faces buying the first year or two of a new design..

But like i said, it comes down to price..

I am purchasing a 1993 600 SEC w/ 71,000 miles next wednesday.

I have never owned a mercedes.

Any thoughts on pros/cons would be appreciated.

This model is a superb example of engineering. Give it the care, service and attention it deserves and it should serve you well.
