Distributor cap and rotor will be generic (not G specific) for that motor; and, as such, should be available from any import parts house that sells MB parts. I like Europarts of San Diego.

The shocks can be had from EuroTruck Importers. He posts here. Send him an email.

Lots of folks use Bilstein shocks. They're available from www.greatbasinrovers.com among other places. There's also a link to GBR from the specials pages at www.clubgwagen.com.

Cap and rotor are for the motor, and not G-specific. If you know the engine number, you can use any MB parts supply, or likely even your local NAPA or the like.

If you want to share your VIN (chassis number that starts with 46x) then someone here with an EPC can tell you your engine number if you don't already know it.

Good Luck!

My vin is wdb46322817092630
You have the M117 engine.

Distributor Cap is P/N: A.000.158.52.02

Rotor is P/N: A.000.158.40.31

There's also a "Suppressor Housing" that looks like it covers the distributor cap. P/N: A.000.158.21.85

Forum sponsor-ing source?

I've always had good luck dealing with John at Germanstar for stuff like this. Here's the web page on his site. Looks like your motor was common in the 560SEL, so you can go to NAPA or whatever and ask for parts for that car, similar vintage, when you need something. Might pay to have your engine number handy 'cause things often changed slightly over teh years.

Anyway, here's the GermanStar page:

PS - just don't tell him it's for a G. He "thinks" he can't order G parts. But if you just go in and find the part number and ask for the part number you need, no problem at all.

My Dis Cap looks diff than the 560 SEL.
The part numbers I provided in the earlier message are for your vehicle.

Hmm. Not sure what might be different about the look, maybe from brand to brand, but they do have the same part number.

On a second hand vehicle, there's always the possibility that what's on the truck is not OE.
