I'll try and take some pix of the tranny retard thing tomorrow.

On the transmission it connects to the same thing the throttle transmisssion cable connects to. its working 100% on all three of our m103/m104's, when we cold start in the morning, roll out our driveway, and start down the hill we live on, it stays in 2nd way too long. by the time we get to the bottom of the hill, and up to the light, and go left/right/straight, its shifting normally... the hill is about 1/2 or 3/4 mile, and 250 feet vertical.

I'll mention this again. There is supposed to be a vacuum line that runs to the transmission vacuum modulator. I never heard back on whether or not you checked that.

Unfortunately I won't be able to have a look at the car for at least a few weeks. But thank you all for the help and I hope to sort it out soon!

Thank you for the reminder, I'll be sure to check it out (unfortunately I probably won't be able to for a few weeks)
