My transmission seems to disengage for a short time when I go around corners at low speed. It takes a few seconds after straightening out again to go back into gear.

It also happens on straightaways when I am at a low speed, apply the brakes and then try to accelerate again. It is not a problem if I come to a complete stop and then accelerate.

Any ideas on what is causing this?

First off I would check my fluid level! Sounds like the fluid is moving away from the pickup??

The fluid level was the first thing I checked. ...Normal.

I should revise my statement... The transmission is not completely disengaging. Just doesn't seem to downshift right away under the conditions described above. It takes about a second once in a while for it to get back to normal. It only happens once in a while, and I am pretty sure that it happens after I apply the brake in a turn
