Its a genuine sportline even has 205 60 15 tire size on 8" wide rims. All stock car. Done brakes, New muffler, New spark plugs, Wires, Rotor + Cap. Tires 50%front 65% back. Brakes recently serviced and painted silver. Got bucket seats same ones as 500e. All original paint besides the front and rear bumpers I painted, Front was cracked and so replaced rear had a scratch on the side. Transmission just serviced with fresh fluid. Both transmission and trany have been treatexd with LUCAS additives. Car has 500E headlight doors on it. Clean Title. Car runs very smooth a pleasure to drive and much nicer than non sportline model. I fixed up this car and gave it a full tune up thinking my Girl friend would drive because of how rare these are. But she wanted a white mercedes I have so I did evrything proper and used most expensive parts like bosch, altrom , valvoline for oil and I added expensive additives to make the car last longer and perform better. I also ran two bottles of seafoam through and two bottles of throttle body cleaner to make sure evrything is tip top. CALL 860 331 77 61

Miles?

And correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you a commercial seller? Got a dealer's license?

Just curious….

I just wondered since some of your listings have pictures in front of a used car lot, and you seem to flip cars a great deal. Just curious.

Car passed emission in Connecticuit (my state) just a week ago because I was about to register. Also the car supposably originated from philidelphia region lady drove it but car was registered around here. Anyways point is that the chasy has no rust I looked evrywhere underneath and there is nothing. Also got a new muffler on it. I thought better pics were in order so here they are.

I'm considering a w124 over a w123 because of the anti-lock brakes and airbags. But I want to find one with really low miles.

Yours is beautiful though, wish it had lower miles:crybaby2:
126K on the clock for a '92 isn't that high; that's 6000 miles a year over the last 21 years.

Keep in mind that a low-mileage car can mask a lot of problems too, because it hasn't been driven frequently.

If it's been maintained, and everything checks out, it's worth a look.

Well you could find one with less miles but also a sportline? I dont know these are rare as far as I know, and Its cooler by me than the e420 MY girl friend chose instead of this one to register. Also in future this is the one people will want to collect 300E Sportline, not the e320 or 300e. I would tell you that its the best handling mercedes Ive driven but why would you believe me the guy thats trying to sell it, this means come and see if its true.

For those who dont know Sportline on this car means:
-thicker sway bars (front sway bar was harvested from a wagon)
-stiffer and a little lower springs
-stiffer shocks
-smaller diameter thicker steering wheel
-sportline bucket seats with rear console (same as 500E)
-7" wide rims with than called low profile 205\60\15 tires
-quick ratio steering
-"Sportline" badges on the front wing moldings and gear knob

Had a guy come in today told him 5K said he will be back after he talks to his lawyer LOL whatever that means.

Maybe the ad copy needs a "tune up"?

It's a beautiful car in an ultra desirable color and real low miles for its age and what it can run to. Perhaps it is not selling because of the time of year, and the holidays, or the ad itself has too much fluff, ie, describing the handling and the girlfriend. I'd re-write it, and jazz up the wording, emphasizing heavily the gas mileage (more important to people at most price points but especially here) AND the rarity of the coveted Sportline package, and the combo of both in a great color and the mechanical excellence/unburstability of the inline 6, and the lifetime loving care it has had. The price could be higher but all you need to get is ONE appreciative buyer and if it's eust and accident free it might be enough. I would personal run a CARFAX or Autocheck on the car and provide the link or information therein. I'd brag up the loving care the "cherished possession" has had, etc. a bit.

Best of luck with the sale. It sounds like s sweet car to me. Properly advertised I think it could appeal to both w124 enthusiasts and mpg obsessed non-enthusiasts who want to get into a old Mercedes for cheap at a low price.

Just my opinion.

I think the price is still a little high for a M103 car, 126K miles is low
but to get real $$ the mileage needs to be 50-80K.

Now a 94-95 M104 car would have broght $3500 easy.

no one wants m104 cuz of the wireing problems, the newer models rust way more cuz less sealer was used and less paint. only plus of the m104 is no rotor cap or wires that give trouble. BUt you got the mass air flow sensor and you got wire harness that falls apart when you touch it and you cant even power wash the engine because you wont be able to start it for days :) I hate how they effed up beaing cheap on the last w124's. I get this feeling that this one might be the last one made proper when I drive it. I also hate the new radio they made for the late w124 the darn volume knob works in only half the cars Ive seen. just so many things they messed up on trying to save some money.

Maybe if it was a diesel.
in a diesel 3.0 turbo I get 100 miles for 20 bucks in a gaser 3.0 I get 85miles for 20 bucks. How is the diesel better ? well it does more MPG dont be fooled thought because mr oil company makes sure diesel is about a dollar more in my state. I fill up my 300ce 5spd with regular never had issues, run some injector cleaner once in a while to rid of the sugar deposits brought by the ethanol in crappy gas. FACT ethanol mixed with water is what is added to our fuels that makes hydrogen when combusted in engines giving extra fuel economy. If our engines had enough compression and heat during combustion you would be able to run on water after the engine gets going. Thats why some fires when they brake out putting them out with water actually adds fuel to the fire something to think and comment on ???? what has more energy galon of water or galon of gasoline or diesel ??

He might not be able to do that since it seems he is just flipping these things. Which is fine, but unless he has records from the PO, it's kind of difficult to brag honestly. Sure, proof of good care the car has had can be seen by the appearance of it and it definitely looks good.

One thing missing from the description, however, is that whether the AC works or not and whether there is any indication (receipts etc.) to verify whether the evaporator has been changed. As we all know, that is neither fun if you DIY it nor cheap if you have somebody else do it.

Depending on the AC thing, I'm actually somewhat seriously thinking about making an offer. It's just that driving it 1700 miles to get it home before getting to know it is a bit risky proposition for a 23 year old car.

But if he doesn't sell it soon and if I can't find a suitable W126 SEC, who knows...
