Just the other day i guess after i closed the drivers side door, and when i returned the wood insert with the power seat controls was loose away from the door. I tried putting it back to no avail. I tried double sided tape but it wont hold, has anyone else had this happen is there a quick way of installing it or does it involve dismantling a lot more then expected??

Hi
I had this problem. You need a new retaining clip. Get one from your stealer.

If I remember correcty, the front side has a couple of little fingers that hook into the door panel. The back side has a spring clip so when you push on the controller it snaps into place. Your clip is probably broken.

Unplug the control and take the whole thing to the stealer and show them. Then they will say you can't fix it and will gladly sell you a new one for $300 and you first born male child.

Next, go home and find a used one on ebay. If the wood vanier is bad, you may have to buy a vynal replacement kit as I did.
