Car has been working fine off and on for years. I pulled it into a space about 2 weeks ago, and it was a little difficult to start but it ran just fine after running for a minute.

Now it won't start after sitting there for 2 weeks. Battery is fully charged, engine turns over but it's clearly got a fuel delivery issue. Hitting her with a very tiny shot of starting fluid makes it stumble a bit and try to start.

Where do I start troubleshooting the fuel system ? I just put about 5 gallons in it so it's got enough gas to go.

Ideas ? Thanks in advance.

I would check the movement of the air flow sensor plate as explained here.

I would determine whether or not the fuel pumps are running by cracking-open a fuel line and checking for fuel while the engine is cranking. One of the lines coming from the top of the fuel distributor to an injector would be suitable for that test.

If the pumps are running I would check if they are developing sufficient pressure. The diagnostic link above explains the procedure; alternatively, you could remove an injector and look for a plausibly-good fuel spray pattern while it is connected to the fuel system and the engine is cranking.

Thank you very much, I'll get on that first thing tomorrow morning.
