Have you tried removing the one you have and see if the number is still on it?

It SHOULD be the first TALL RECTANGLUAR box on the RIGHT side behind the cover behind the battery...

IIRC, model year 1989 300E had fuel pump relay with p/n#0025455205 installed at the factory during production. This relay has 9 pins.

This part has been updated/superseded with p/n#0035452405. This relay has 10 pins but should work without issues, assuming the old relay was indeed the problem.

Only use genuine MB relays. Don't bother with knock-offs such as those from URO and other less reputable brands.

You can get one at Pep Boys... around $90...
It DOES have the extra pin, but the socket is not wired for it... think it is a redundant 'relay is engaged' signal or somesuch....

Please read 'Foreshadowing of things to come' about MY relay saga! Might help you ensure it IS the relay!

90 Bucks!! No way!! I know I paid cheaper from either rmeuropean or autohausaz. Can't remember offhand. Try those 2 sites for a fuel pump relay. As stated earlier, don't use Uro parts. Try Kaehler. I have a 90 300E.

Considering the dealer wanted $325 for a new one...

I was happy!
