I have a 560SEL - new to me. Trying to restore and will keep for a long time. Got rid of my 2002 S500 and went with the older b/c I prefer the style.

But, the car's suspension is dulled:
(1) bounces a lot
(2) you feel every bump in the road
(3) hit an exit ramp at 60 miles an hour and the car sway is out of control.

Being somewhat ignorant to MB suspense options, do I need to replace springs and shocks? Or can the springs be tightened just with new shocks.

With confidence, this car has had little or no maintenance done on the suspension in the past.
