I have just used two bottles of injector cleaner (Seafoam brand) to stop the hot stalling in my 300e (same injectors as 280ge) it saved a time consuming teardown of the injection system. It’s a good idea to do it before an oil change as the stuff is pretty aggressive.
To drain the transmission you undo the bottom of the filer tube as there is no drain plug on the 280ge /auto box and let the fluid drain out from there
