So I had a nice running 190E, I was doing 120-130 on the highway and when I slowed down after a minute or two, my car was smoking. So I pulled over to the side of the expressway and turned the car off for a little. Now my car won't start by itself, I have to give it alot of gas to start and even then it won't stay running under 2000 rpm's so I have to be giving it gas constantly or it will stop running on me. Please any help!!!

Try your fuel filter. Shake it a few times then try to restart. Why you going so fast? Insane1 is correct fuel pump is toast. Thought you a lesson huh!

Question, so is the fuel pump pumping fuel into the engine when the car is on even though my foot isn't on the gas?

It should be, unless the pump is messed up somehow. How else would an engine idle
