1989 190E 2.6 wobble??

Hey there. Sounds like wheel balance, plain and simple.

thats what I thought, but it doesnt start at one speed, and like I said it shifts to the right when you get to the spot.
I had un balanced 4x4 tires on my old suv and it would start the "shake" at just under 100KM/H
and this is more wobble than anything, and when I accelerate even up to 140kph it does not wobble till it evenouts..

Have the tires pulled and put on a balance machine. Sounds as if some belts within the tire/tires may have shifted. On my 190E 2.3 16V, it was smooth as glass until I hit about 60 mph, which doesn't take long. At that point, it felt like a bent rim. Turned out to be a shifted belt on one rear tire. Have the tire guy look for the rim to wobble or watch to see if the tire is wobbling.

If it pulls to the left/right upon acceleration that will be your rear Control Arms. Have exactly the same problem on my TE....Not really a "huge" problem...but I gotta get around to fixing it as it is causing excessive sidewall wear on my tires.

I take it you mean the rear control arm bushings?

Sounds like RWD torque steer. Definitely check the control arms as mentioned above AND check the 4 subframe mount bushings.

drove the back on some ramps and found out that both rear lower tie rod bushings were 100% shot! so Changed them, wobble gone
