My rear bench wont recline. I can hear a click coming from the relay (behind drivers side rear back rest) when I toggle the reclining switch. Also the driver rear heat warmer doesnt work even though it shows one red light (low) when you turn the ignition on, and two lights (high) when you turn the ignition and lights on. The red heat light(s) wont turn off at that point. The passenger rear heat warmer, courtesy light, cig lighter works fine. The only other unusual thing is that my rear driver door panel is off (courtesy light and cig lighter unplugged). I temporarily plugged both of these in while holding the panel, but it didnt make a difference. I also tried known working spare drivers side rear heat and reclining switches from my 91 sel parts car. I havent tried a spare working passenger side reclining switch. Thanks for any suggestions.

Common problem. Search for member white rhino. He did a video on the repair for your issue. Also check your fuses to be sure they are not full of corrosion or blown.

Here's the vid he did:

Don't let the length of the video scare you, it's a relatively simple mechanism. If you're not hearing the motor, that may be the problem. If the cables are rounded off at the ends, (most common,) that's your problem. Could also just need a thorough lubricating. Switches is another possibility, easy enough to test.

And FYI, I don't know if he said so in the video, but the removal of the tracks is not necessary to change the cables and or motor.
