Nice widebody.

Interior looks largely stock. Just an AMG steering wheel and console box.

The seller states that it's a 6.0L, but it doesn't have the 4-valve heads.

Beautiful car!! Affalterbach widebody, 6L SOHC Gen II..

Considering the 6L engine etc would take about 25K to duplicate, I think his price is reasonable. Especially if the car presents in person as well as it does in pics...

If it really needs nothing, it's a Deal.

When one thinks of price one must ask themselves when and where can I get one as nice or better? Owner states clearly in the ad to make offer. I hope whomever buys it drives it like it wants to be driven! WFO. For the same money you could buy a loaded Honda Odysee or Toyota Highlander. Think about that for about 5 seconds. Haha. If I had it I would have a high gas bill and even higher tire bill. I drive my SEC like I borrowed it. Cheers

Yup, stunning car. Still, a little abuse would do it good i'm sure. They were made for driving after all. Plus, it'd be so hard not to! :)

Not enjoying a car like that is equal to Eric Clapton locating a rare guitar and hanging it on the wall to look at and take photos. I could be wrong but my impression is that these cars were modified and tuned to totally kick some serious butt on the autobahn and anywhere else on this planet. It's about real life experiences. I would prefer to hear about guys or gals having fun with a cool car rather than if the AMG nameplate on the differential is crooked. I'm going to warm up my SEC and drive it today and hope that I wake up tomorrow for a chance to do it again. I can look at photos and cars in the garage but the feel and sound of a well tuned SEC with free flow exhaust winding out on the road is why I have a passion for the 126.

abuse is all relative. driving with a little spirit as this coupe should be driven does not constitute abuse. now drifting, holeshoting, hitting your head on the roof over speed bumps, jumping, pitching, doughnuts, powerbraking, 360's, not changing your oil regularly, running green coolant with 5 year old brake fluid would all be forms of abuse and should not be subjected to any vehicle.

and this coupe is just another fine example of what the last years of pre-merger was all about. :)

My thoughts as well 48hp. In the Pacific NW we are supposed to have a rough winter (el ninja or something like that) sport tires and bad weather = hibernation for the super car. I need to move to So. Cal! I bought a couple lotto tickets in hope to get that widebody. I'm feeling lucky.

The best thing about a 126 SEC is that there is room for a blonde, a redhead, a brunette and me. That's why I sold my 129. I really want that car.

Edit: no active mail link allowed. Why not paste the ebay number?

Moderators --

Can we please stop highspirits from spamming every post with "wide body" in the title?

Or can we at least direct him to the W126 for sale section?

Thanks
