Nice Hammer...my only gripe was my Wagon supposedly had a 14K$ service done @ RENNtech not long before I bought it...Aaron couldn't find the receipt, and Hartmut hadn't seen the car since 97..soooo...plus, it needed some catching up on maintenance..not that that's a problem but hey...

I know he tried to sell this @ Russo and Steele, but it didn't meet reserve. he should have brought this car to Amelia this year, hell, he should have brought all three, but then again I likely wouldn't have been able to afford the wagon were that the case!

What is your definition of a commuter car?? Every Hammer started life as a bare bones 300 or 200E or in the case of the wagon a 300TD.

I know I'll get alot of flack for saying this, but this car does not do anything for me. Now the WAGON looks and IS special, where with the sedan you have to know what it is to appreciate it. Yes eurospec those wheels w/the lip look like puke. DOT headlights? The coupe looks sharp too!!
Just my opinion...

With a car of this caliber euro or not does not really matter. Once you drop that drivetrain in it automatically becomes a very special car. I just dont feel it looks special enough.
