1986 560SL for sale, 117,000 miles, Southern car - no rust, well maintained all major maintenance done including 100,000 mile timing chain replacement. I would rather buy a car with miles like this and the major work done than a car with say 90,000 miles with the major work coming up.
Just passed emissions testing and I just made a thousand mile trip to Florida without any problems. Very nice looking car thats gets complemented always. It is gold with Brown Interior and soft top. Also has gold hard top included. All original radio and first aid kit. All electrical items working, like courtesy lights, windows, Cruise, door locks, power antennae, fog lights etc.
Has an option the original owner had installed in the form of a full power convertible top. The unit is ingenious and does everything from the drivers seat.
The top is in very nice condition with clear windows.
To be really nice the car needs a few things:
1. New tires - The michelins on it are usable for a weekend toy but if it were to be driven daily I would get new ones.
2. Drivers seat is worn but usable
3. Air Condition was working fine but about every two years it loses its charge
I was thinking of converting it to R-134 so I could get it charged cheaply when needed
I was going to Ask $12,000 for this car but with the needed items above I am willing to make the following Concessions:
Asking Price was $12,000 now $11,000
-$ 700 for tires
-$ 700 for new leather seat covers
-$ 400 for A/C repair or conversion
