Hey everyone. I am helping a friend with an '86 300E. 3.0L I6. He has 17" ASA's and it is so high off the ground. his stock springs are beat, and it needs lowered asap. What is the BEST suspension setup for this chassis?

Here is his car for reference:

It sits higher now, its on AMG struts. Its really an AWFUL stance. Help Please!!

And for what its worth, im also a european car guy myself, but im in VW land for now with this junkster :)

"Best" is more a personal choice when it comes to altering the suspension. Use the search feature of this site and you'll find more on this topic than you can read.

As they say, "To each his own"

Good Luck,

I've been searching but there is WAY too much content to cover. Essentially, he's looking to just eliminate his wheel gap, so drop about 2-2.5" from stock ride height. what will acheive this?

I saw B&G springs and they are a great brand, but what about shocks to pair with them
