* * SOLD * * 114K miles, midnight blue exterior, gray leather interior. JJ Products rear seats with safety belts. Blue canvas soft top in excellent+ condition. Matching hard top and dolly. Non-metallic (Dunkelblau 904) paint has no fading and receives constant compliments.

This lovely R107 is an unmolested example of the last and best of the 380SL's. Its 3.8L SOHC FI engine runs on regular gas and has the desirable double-row timing chain, unlike the 1981-1983 cars. Its automatic transmission is a 4spd OD that operates as it should. Its overdrive means you'll see 23MPG at highway speeds while the motor turns a lazy 2100 RPM. This car even has ABS brakes (which work) .. the only year 380 SL that came with them standard.

This car has been a reliable daily driver for me for the past 18 months. It's now well sorted and has benefitted from lots of recent work: New tires (5), new Bilstein shocks (4), new brake rotors (4), new brake hoses (4), new brake pads (F+R), new ICU, new fuel accumulator and nearby hoses (fixes common hot-start issue), new fuel filter, new fan belts, new radiator hoses, new odometer gears (fixes common failure). This car's idle is a rock-solid 700RPM and its vacuum gauge behaves as it should.. both important indicators of a healthy SL.

VIN: WDBBA45C6FA016382. Carfax report from March 2011 available here or feel free to run your own. My documentation shows this to be a 100% California car going back to the original purchase from Stead Motors of Walnut Creek in 1984. Clean CA title in-hand (not salvaged). Passed CA smog on Sept 5, 2012 and the smog certificate will be provided to the buyer. Original manuals, MBZ maintenance book, and recent service records also included. * * SOLD * *
