Hey everyone,

I recently noticed that the three prong connector for my TPS was crumbling and I figured I might as well replace it. I should have ordered one before removing it because, in the process of snaking it out from underneath the alternator, the remaining plastic crumbled off... I've been scouring the internet and the forums looking for the same on (PN 005 545 86 24) but haven't been able to find anyone that still manufactures this part or sells new old stock. I was able to find a couple different websites where they're NLA (such as this one) but I haven't been able to find any that I can actually buy.

Has anyone thought about adapting the TPS from another model (such as this one) if they couldn't find the three-pronged version? I've tried finding information in the forum but none of my searches have turned up anyone with a similar problem.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Stashman,

the EPC tells A1265406945 for the 380SL (107045) and it seems to be still available at MB (about 65$).
One year ago I purchased the A2015405645 for my 560SL for 50$ at MB.
Did you already asked your Mercedes-Dealer?
Regards Martin

Thank you for the suggestion!! I tried to order through ECS and it seemed to be going great until my order was cancelled today. I called to ask what happened and it turns out their supplier doesnt have it in stock and they said MB stopped producing it.

I'm going to try reaching out to a dealership to see if they can find the part! Thanks for the help! Hopefully they have it, if not I think I'm gonna have to hit the junkyards and see if I can get lucky.

I may have finally found a company that has some. Downside is that I've read some bad reviews on other forums about their customer service. Link to the part is below, they also have it for sale on Ebay for a couple bucks more but free shipping. I might purchase from there so I have better buyer protection.

Anyone have any history with this company?
