I just purchased a 3rd row seat (with complete hardware) for my 1985 300TD wagon. Can anyone confirm the holes for the seat belt screws are already behind the headliner in the roof and are on the floor even though my wagon was not delivered from the factory with the 3rd row seating? Thanks!

Every w123 wagon I've seen has the ability to install a third row seat IF you have the seat and it's related equipment- which means you must have the securing hardware bolts and machine screws. They are not on/in your car now. I've taken out and installed five and looked on dozens and dozens of other wagons and they are all the same. It's not a complex install but it is time consuming.

My big worry now is finding the seatbelt holes in the headliner. I don't want to mess up my headliner! Any suggestions or ideas would appreciated.
