I've got two 1985 Mercedes 190E's, I bought them a couple years back planning on fixing them up into show cars but money problems and a lack of time keep forcing them to the back burner. My point is I wouldn't mind unloading them if I can get decent money for them, problem is, I have no idea what they are worth. One is in perfect condition but I think the starter is bad, the other is in okay condition with a $1,000 set of rims and tires but the transmission went out. Could somebody give me a rough estimate of their worth? There is a guy trying to get one from me but I'm not sure I want to sell if they're only worth a couple hundred. Thanks

Pricing really depends on Mileage, transmission and general shape of the vehicle..

Would you have any pictures of said model? Is it a 2.3-8V? or 16V?

Usually "normal" 8V NAM cars with decent mileage and automatic transmissions won't go for more than $3,000.

The one with the blown transmission has 109k, the exterior is in good shape but the interior is pretty trashed. The other one is in almost perfect condition inside and out and has 186k on it but the starter is out. I don't have any pictures right now but I can get some later. Almost forgot, I believe they are both 2.3

off the top of my head the one with the blown tranny and trashed interior will surely not get more than $1k.... but then again I may be wrong. Pictures are needed for proper quoting.

As for the question on whether it is a 8V or 16V (the 16V will be worth considerably more)

Does your cars' body kit look like this:

or like this:

If it's as clean as you say, I'd say anywhere from $3500 to $5000. With all documentation, probably closer to $5000.

Coupla' opinions on the value of a 190E, but nothing on a (my) diesel. Beverly
Well, you're hijacking a thread that's titled 190E, so the diesel people likely ignore it because your 190D is buried in it.

Ebay, cars dot com, autotrader dot com for comps. Maybe 190rev dot net. Unless someone has just bought or sold the car, it's just guessing. Especially with few details and no pictures.

Check kbb dot com as well. The West Coast buyers will pay top dollar for your diesel car because of the biodiesel/WVO renewable green fuels mind set out there.
