I've just purchased this car, and I found that the heater controls in the burlwood panel above the ashtray were "loose." After taking out the ashtray and the ashtray support frame, the burlwood panel literally fell out leaving the heater control assembly supported on its wiring alone. It appears that someone had tried to slap it all together with epoxy and double stick tape after installing an aftermarket radio/cd player. I'm not sure what is exactly supposed to support the heater control assembly and if I am missing any parts to do this. I did find 2 small wooden blocks that were originally glued to the back of the burlwood panel. To these blocks, there are 2 small screws that fasten the heater control assembly to the back of the burlwood panel. I reglued the blocks to the back of the panel, but I am thinking there must be more that supports the control assembly than these 2 small screws and the wiring harness, otherwise those 2 wooden blocks are going to shear off again with the normal motion of the car. Am I missing something? Thanks for any suggestions!

Pretty much like from the factory -- without the epoxy and double stick tape.

The two wood blocks secure the Climate Control panel at the top and the metal rim
that the ash try sets into supports the Climate Control panel at the bottom.
