I have a 1984 380SEC, the last time I drove it, it developed a serious engine problem. It went from driving normally, to losing power and won't idle, sounds like it is running on about 6 cylinders. Fuel seems fine, not sure where or what to look at next. I am thinking an electrical issue, but some ideas would be good.

Thanks

Start by checking wire/plugs/cap/rotor...the basics.

This is also a common descriptor of what Can happen when a car jumps time.

How many miles on your 380?

You might want to take a look just to be Sure.

Has the timing chain rails/tensioner etc been done yet?

I'm wagering you have a dual row chain in your 380.

If ignition checks out I would do a compression test next.

Or it could be dirty gas resulting in a clogged fuel filter and injectors. Pull the plugs and read them. Which cylinders are FUBAR??
