I have 360,000 miles on the car. During the milder and colder seasons it has good pickup and the engine shuts off when I turn off the ignition. However, in the hot weather the car has almost no pickup when starting from a dead stop. Plus, it continues to run for a few minutes after I turn off the ignition. When this happens the door locks don't lock. Once I get the car above 30 miles or so, the acceleration seems good.Any help will be appreciated.

I know right of the bat you are having low vacuum problems it could be a leak in the system or a dying vacuum pump. Check for loose connections in the engine compartment or bypass sytems to isolate the problem. All the vacuum lines are color coded and you can just plug them off on at a time to isolate the problem. About the power loss I would try replacing your fuel filters (2 of them) and see what that does....Good luck!<br> Travis
