You are looking at a beautifully maintained 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300CD (Coupe Diesel). This rare car has been very well cared for by one family since it was new. It has right at 178,563 documented original miles. The car comes with all the records since day one - including its pickup and shipping packet from Germany. It just got new Michelin tires. The engine starts quickly and runs smoothly. The engine bay was not specially detailed for the photos - thats just how pristine this car actually is! The A/C blows cold. The original radio works well (so does the antenna). The sunroof opens, closes, and seals (without leaking). It could be driven anywhere!

The original owner picked it up in Germany and brought it back to the USA after a week's vacation (you can still do this today!). They drove it for 10 years then sold it to their son-in-law. He sold it back to them a few years later and the original owner spruced it up a bit with a new paint job (in its original color) and recovered the seats with MBTex (instead of the original leather). The dash developed a crack, so they bought a dash cover and mounted it. The rest of the interior is original, including the stereo. Their son-in-law saw it after they did the work on it and bought it from them again a few years later. He is the current owner. The car has been garaged its entire life!

It comes with all of the records from day 1, including the packet for the trip to Germany and its flight home.

The car is beautiful to look at with shiny chrome, clean paint, and a gorgeous blue interior! It drives very well and is an excellent car for cruising down the highway in style.

It has Mercedes' legendarily reliable 5-cylinder diesel engine. It is one of the rare coupe diesels. It would make a good collector's car to take to Cars and Coffee or it could be used as a daily driver. It would be an easy biodiesel conversion or WVO (waste vegetable oil) conversion vehicle.
