It’s that time again, I got this car with an old battery and it doesn’t work what so ever, so I have to get a new battery. Could someone please supply the necessary information for a battery that will turn over perfect with this car as well as be powerful enough not to die! Thank you!

The Interstate Mega-Tron Plus 93 850 CCA (850 cold cranking amps) should be a good battery

In my '85 300D I have an Interstate Mega-Tron Plus 85, also 850 CCA, two years old, and cold weather doesn't faze it. It's what the local indies routinely put in W123 300D's.

I walked into Pepboys with my old battery and they handed me the right one. Took 15 minutes. I don't think you can really go wrong as long as your alternator at least kind of works and it's the right battery from a real brand.
