Okay I have a 82' 380 SEL 3.8L V8. It has a lot of problems but I'm pretty sure I'm going to fix it up. I was just wondering what the HP of this car is, how long it takes to get from 0-60. And after ~3k to only the performance of the car what I can expect. I'm almost 16 and I've had this car for a long time. It doesn't run yet but that's only because of some fuel delivery issues. Oh and my dad's a mechanic so exclude installation and repair costs. If anyone could help me out thanks. ;)

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your purchase. Fill out your profile so where know where you are and what you have.

You can find a ton of stuff with the search, and I believe there is a thread on performance locked at the top of the forum.

However, this is a forum and not simply a database, so feel free to let us know how its coming along, and when you get your euros and whatnot, we love that stuff. We also really love pictures here by the way. *hint* *hint*

HEY, HEY, HEY!
Your're holding out on us. You didn't say it was a Euro! Good Snag.

Where in CA are you?
I'm in northern LA county near Palmdale/Lancaster.
I used to have a 380SE. US/CA car. Same color I think, Midnight Blue?

yeah it's midnight blue lol. I'm gonna paint it pitch black when I get the cash though. I'm going for a total black on black except rims and trim. Oh and I'm pretty sure it's Euro and shipped over here. Everything is in German so that's why I think it is. Truthfully I don't know everything about the car my family bought it when I was 7 lol. But it came with mohair interior which I'm lead to believe is really expensive lol. Too bad that the interior was destroyed when we left it in Hawaii for a year. Oh and I live in Big Bear. It's a really bummer lol. I moved from LA to Maui then to big bear lol.

Yes it is a real Euro spec car. It has been federalized with DOT US head and tail lights but it kept the Euro Bumpers.
If you run the VIN through the Russian MB Club website here.

Mercedes-Benz Club Russia | Mercedes-Benz / VIN

Put in the whole number starting with the WDB

It'll tell you how your car was equipped from the factory.
WOW a family car. That is neat.
It is velour interior, not mohair me thinks.

EDIT: I just looked it up. Lol pretty cool that hey actually had it in there. Lol it has unknown interior though it says code 938 lol.

Hey hey, if your just going to paint it, take mine and paint that and give me that, haha, I love that colour and interior.

That thing needs new wheels.

Oh, how many miles?
No hahaha. It does need a new paint job though plus body work. There's a bunch of dents plus the paint is pealing in many places. Oh and u don't want to trade me lol 170k miles hahhaha

You've got your self a very nice car there, keep it tasteful.

Yeah hahaha I got a handful though 170k miles is practically a death sentence isn't it lol. Oh and I don't remeber if I posted a pic but I'm trying to make it look like a car I saw on google. Just google W126 and look at images and there should be a black 500SEL with a grassy treeish backround. And that's my basic plan for the exterior.

That's Nomada's car...do a search for his name and you can see all the various mods on his car.

He's the #1 image when you google image "W126". Quite the accomplishment.

The air cleaner is aluminum and polishes up very nice. Try Nevr-Dull for an inexpensive way to get some engine compartment shine.

Alright I'll try that my dads got a whole can from the military lol. So does the fact that it's a eurospec make it more special or something? And why?
