Hi,
I just bought a 1982 280SE, had a few small probs so got it cheap. Was misfiring when I first got it but did compression test and found it to be all ok, turned out to be the ignition leads replaced but put back on in wrong order.
So now it has new leads, new spark plugs and runs like a dream... Until at operating temperature. As soon as the temp gets up it will stall/cut out when stopped, it will start again but if revved up and acelerator let go it will stall again.
This is my first Mercedes so not sure if there is a common problem with these engines? (M110) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ali
