Nice but the manual crank windows really turn me off.

That car had 185 hp and in 1980 that was not bad at all.

Remember, this is when a 350 GM small block and the brand new Mustang had about 150 hp.

It's an automatic, which is too bad. :(

Had it been a manual, you'd have what's needed for a manual conversion.

Not bad for $750. ;)

Bidding is going up, will be interesting to see where it ends. The 185hp twin cammer is a neat motor in this car and makes the car go down the road quite nicely. If it had the manual tranny it would be amazing. It is a shame it has the "peasant-package".

I love the simplicity of 280SE. Must be a dream to drive. Only if it had standard transmission.....

Atttemting to get trough my 600 page manual for my Gl i must admit I kind of miss the simplicity of the good old days.
I grew up in europe and saw these cars fly down the freeway in germany at top speed 125 MPH plus all day long.Just 185 horsepower but they worked, here we are 30 years later 350 hp and we are doing 75 on an american freeway in great danger of a speeding ticket. You dont need very many Hp's to go fast you need a better law and good roads.Last trip bach home I rent a car trough Denmark Holland and Germany all together 2000 miles and not one pot hole.
I love America but why the Bl.... cant we get good roads so we can go from LA to NY in a heartbeat if we so desired.
I am ramling sorry.
Goodnight
Nobogie
Tere are less death per driven mile on German freeways than here despite no speed limit.
