1977 Mercedes 280E, mango green, tan interior, asking $1500
Located in Bowling Green, Ohio
Summary:
exterior- Mango green metallic. Overall very nice, there is no rust underneath or on the floors. there is one rust thru spot under the trim on the drivers side lowest part of the fender. The is some rust on the inside, bottoms ofthe doors It has been repainted at one time in its history (original color) The trunk has a dent in it. All of the chrome is fantastic
interior- Dark tan (peanut butter colored) very nice MB tex, no broken springs but the horse hair is starting to give way. The dash has one little crack by the speaker. Everything seems to work including the air conditioning
mechanical-brand new brakes all around, rebuilt calipers and new rotors and pads, new brake hoses, and master cylinder. Boiled and cleaned then POR15 gas tank, new fuel pump and filteras well as all of the hoses. Relatively new exhaust.
engine- When I purchsed the car about a year ago it had a blown engine. I installed another engine along with a new radiator, mounts, hoses and belts and alternator The transmission fluid and filter was replaced. It shifts good. The engine smokes and appears to need new valve guides and valve stem seals.
I just do not have the time to pull the head again and fix the valve guides and seals. I have pictures available
thanks
