ok what im asking is ,are there any other model mercedes front windscreens, that can fit into a 1972 450sl , as im in new zealand and there are very few 450sl over here to get parts for, and the cost for a new windsreen costs far to much,so any help would be great thanks.

Glass from any 107, be it 280, 300, 350, 380, 420, 450, 500, 560, SL or SLC, will fit your '72. Unfortunately, no other MB models are compatible.

That would be a 126. It's the big 4 door and not compatible.

I think the 107 had unique characteristics in its design, In the structural integrity.
If you buy one, Insure it heavily. Move it gently. And install it correctly.
Whatever the cost.
