My local part supplier has EPC, so between me looking it up at home and them double checking I get whatever I need. If a part is dealer only, the same guys order it for me and tack something on for themselves. The nearest MB dealer is 50mi away and they don't discount to me so end cost is less going thru my local parts shop.

contact Ron at Mercedes Parts, Mercedes-Benz Parts for help. I suggest you call, as his online manual is not all inclusive. Also, have you tried your MB dealer?

Fill in your profile... it can assist the group when offering help. There is not point in listing certain resources if you are across the globe, so to speak...

Thanks for all the help. I ordered all the needed parts from Ron at German Star. The prices were reasonable and the service was great so far.

I also updated my profile and added some pictures for all your nosey buggars.

For future information to others. Were the parts you bought the same as those for a '72 350SL US with the 117 engine?

Good Question. Will report back when parts arrive and mechanic sorts them out.

Hi Ears,

Thanks for telling me about German star.

We go to Mentone a few times a year just to enjoy the mountain roads. The Alfa was designed for just that type of driving. Gina climbs those roads like a mountain goat in heat! :)

We will stay in touch and Happy Tday to you too. Regards, David

I like the art shows that are held in Mentone, and eating at the old inn there.

I was just looking at an alfa on ebay the other night... Been thinking about them again.

Give us a holler next time you motor north..

Rory

Rowdie, the parts arrived on Tuesday. Pretty fast turn around and well packed.. All the parts were genuine Bosch. I do not know if they will fit a US 350sl too.

Now i have to get my mechanic to install them. I might have to bribe him with some BBQ:surrender:.
