I just bought a 1972 350 slc. How come I cannot find out much info on this model? Someone told me it is a grey market car, how can I tell.
It has the 350 slc emblem on the right side of the trunk & it has the small bumpers.
I was also reading that the '72 350 slc's were actually 450 slc's.
Any info that you can give me would be appreciated........Thanks.....Wayne

Wayne,

Forgot to mention that if it is a 350 make sure the timing chain has been replaced by a double link one. They originally had a single link chain with a terrible tendency to snap.

Regards
For the US market all the 350/450 SL/SLC's had the 4.5 engine even though the early cars were badged as 350's. a 3.5 SL/SLC in the US would be a Grey Market or Private Owner Import car.
