: I OWN A 1970 280 SEL DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE SEL STANDS FOR
Yes, the S is typical: S-class. The E indicates that it concerns an injection-engine (german word is "einspritz") and the L means that the car is 10 cm longer than an S or an SE. These 10 cm come to the benefit of the backseat-passengers.
Bye
