It's a shame about all that rust underneath. Otherwise, it's a beautiful car. That rust is what's keeping the price down so much I think.

Well, the 200D is sold. Maybe. The winning bidder is local but is a lady who says that her family needs a second car and that she doesn't know anything about cars, especially older Mercedes. She thought the price was good. I haven't heard back from her yet (she stated twice that she might be retracting her bid. I guess I will see). The auction ended 9 hours ago and I sent an email asking what her payment plan was. Why do I have a feeling I won't be able to get rid of this car...

That sucks. Sounds like that buyer probably isn't going to come through. I feel for you.

Maybe the best shot at selling it would be to take it to a rather large collector auto show?

Well, if the bidders don't want the car then maybe I will have the radiator repaired and then drive it to Utah again to visit my family for Christmas. I think it can handle another trip and it would be better on fuel than my 300SD.
