any info ? recently purchased a 190sl the body numbers on the drivers side firewall match the title 1210401002141 id number it says year 59 on title, however the passenger side firewall tag 121040-10-09278 says its a 1961 the chassis # tag 10-019278 under the voltage regulator match what am i looking at here. what do I register it as, thanks in advance for answers

The stamped in number on the firewall behind the brake booster is the chassis number. The one on the tag behind the battery should match the number on the frame rail and is the VIN. To be correct, you should have the VIN as your title number. However, if they used the chassis number as the VIN use that for now unless changing to the proper number isn't a problem for you.

Previous post is 100%. For more detailed advice.it would be helpful to know in which state the car will be registered.
