while in drive and stopped u can move your selector from d back to 2 and then to d again, pauseing a second or so in 2. This will start in 1st at that time.
Tip: You dont need to floor the car to make it start in first. Try sitting ur foot above the pedal and just dropping you foot half way down. Works foor me, starts in 1st, you dont even feel it drop back from 2nd.
