Hi,

I've got a 2.5 16v which has developed a problem which sounds like it's the fuel pump relay. Only trouble is I can't find the thing!!! Does anyone have any ideas where it is???

Thanks in advance

I believe it is located behind the battery on the firewall. Do a search as the procedure for checking the relay has been posted.

Thanks for the prompt response. You're right it is there, I didn't even realise there were more components behind the battery - they make things nice and easy!

Just a bit of an update just in case anyone else has a similar issue. The relay finally died today, which is a little easier to diagnose than an intermittent problem!!! The relay came apart fairly easily and a dry joint was found on the board (as suggested in other threads). Fixed this and the car started straight away!!!

Not only has this saved a lot of $$$ but there are only a couple of 2.5 16v Cossies here in South Africa and getting spares could have been difficult!!!

Thanks again,

Andy
