Hello all,

I have a 1987 190D 2.5 Turbo and would like to know if anyone has info regarding a manual transmission posibility for this one. I am wondering if the 2.5 normally aspirated manual transmission would be a bolt up at the bell housing/engine or not.

I dont have a major problem with automatics, but this trans is just a bit too worn for my liking (~220k mi - dont think it got regular flushes as it slips a bit even with pressure mod dialed up). A replacement trans will be necessary in the future. So, I am considering just converting it to manual if its going to be realitvely straight forward and not require rediculous mods.

Any info/insights would be greatly appriciated, thanks in advance.

Does anyone have an idea on this? Is there a different resource for finding this answer?

Thanks.
