I found this page listing Mercedes wheels by size: https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/information/fitting_chart/mercedes-benz

I'm looking at getting a set of 17x8.5" "5 double spoke" wheels from an E500, but was also thinking "Why not go wider?".
The only 17" wider than 8.5 on the chart linked above is the 17x9.5 from a W208 CLK AMG... which seems to be either extremely rare or nonexistent.

Are there any reasonable options?

Thanks!

Yes, they are. You just zoomed by them.
I had 3 sets of 17" wheels and never was happy with ride. The 18" monoblocks made me happier. Might be the tires I got on them were not the best, but we have reports that 10" wide rims will stiff fit rear, so why don't you go all the way?

I Ctrl-F'd "17x9" and there's one instance. I checked other adjacent phrases like "17 " and there were none.
So if there are other 17x9's that Mercedes made, they're not on the list I linked.

I can frequently get used factory wheels inexpensively from junkyards. "High end" factory wheels like AMG or tuner wheels are frequently more expensive.

I'm already on a project to pack an 18x11s under the back of a Pontiac Fiero... I don't need another project like that.
