17 inch AMG Rim curb scuff removal?

Hi Guys,

I just purchased a 2008 Mercedes c350 and the car is in great condition except the passenger side rim is scuffed up from what looks like a curb.

Is there anyway to get that buffed out and refinished? or would it be best to get a replacement rim? If so how much would both options cost?

Appreciate any comments.

thanks,
Dave

It depends of course on the severity of the damage. But from what you describe it sounds like it should be no problem to repair. Most dealers have a subcontracted wheel repair guy that shows up on a regular basis to perform this service. For example, my local dealer has a guy that comes in every Monday to take care of all the wheel repairs. Not seeing the damage its hard to say but it should fall in the $50-150 range.
