What chassis did the 15" bundts come on and did they have Merecedes style part numbers on them?

I do not believe they were standard, however, I have seen them on the W116 6.9s and W109s. They had a couple of sets at the MB Classic Center in Irvine when I was there last Summer. I think they wanted upwards of $800 per wheel. There are some less expensice aftermarket versions by ARC and Ronal floating around on Germany's eBay, and maybe an OEM set once and awhile.

They're 7Jx15" and I'm looking for a set my self.

Although somebody in this forum pretty recently strongly suggested against using any wider tyres than the original 195/70R14 (or whatever the standard size is). Don't remember why though and he might not have mentioned it had to be in 14". Will se if I find the thread.

I have 225/60x15's on 8-hole alloys on my CD (the coupe came with 205/70x14), and 225/60x15's on 22-hole alloys on the SD - been that way on both cars for over 10-years and no problems with width on either car

i had 245 45/17's on my coupe and i was able to handle her just fine, though it took a little strength to turn it, it was a much better ride. no new suspension components, no alignment.

Im running michelin pilot exalto 205/60/15's on ATS 15x7 bundts and they work perfectly, zero issues. Definitely a huge improvement over the stock set up!
