Recipe:
1. Marine cup/can holder
2. Utilize factory holes for phone mount (I hate to drill)
3.Group 24 battery box...toss lid
4.industrial velcro
5.trash container found at Kragen/Autozone
6.Attach trash container to box with velcro
7. Self adhesive rubber molding for bottom of box to kep from sliding.

I will undergo testing next week.

Note: cupholder wont hold 32oz cups...which I should be weening myself from anyway.

Attached photos.

Nice ideas! One minor correction, though. There were no "factory holes for phone mount". They were drilled there by a PO, but it's nice you were able to use them again.[;)]

Thanks for the clarification Dutch... I assumed, based on quite a few sightings of photos with phones all mounted in the same place that it was an "option thing" and in particular option code E54.

One little problem I see. The battery box is blocking the either the back seat or vents for cooling the transmission...havent quite figured out which they are for just yet, but as it has rained 38 of the past 45 days, i couldnt really care, heat is nice...

Nice! and one question....

I presume the floor mats you have came to you with the truck. This is such a small world, I thought you got the truck from a lister, but can't remember who....anyway.....

Could I trouble you to look around the backs of the floor mats and see if you find any identification of what brand they are or what kind of "part number" might be associated with them? They look like a really nice custom fit, and I'd like to find something that nice for mine.

Dave, I will look when I get home from work tonight and post my findings...you are the 4th person to quiz me on the floormats.

Floormat Part number ??

Dave, as promised:

No brand name just number:
B6 68 8245

Also has "VL" under and to the right of the number.

The mats each have their own designation:
Driver front = HGF 1095
Pass front = HGF 1096
Rears are 109 and 109A

I wonder if Europa sourced someone to make these...and even further could it be the same supplier as their spare tire covers with their logo ? I thought you had it "in" with someone there ? Maybe they could give a clue.If the source was found, I would have to believe they could make a rerun if there were committed orders.

RE: Floormat Part number ??

Thanks!

I'm hoping one of the more knowledgable folks on general MB and G stuff on the list can make some sense of the numbers or letters. I don't have a lot of hope, but those are so nice, I had to ask.

Thanks for your trouble.

Guys,

This is an MB accessory part number. Those mats are/where an MB part. Not sure if they are still available. I checked recently for 460 mud mats and was told by DC that none are available. Mike probably has floor mats for a W463.

The "VL" is for "vorne links" or front left floor mat.

If anyone is interested, I'll try to run down more info from DC in Germany.

I'd definitely be interested. I'm doubtful these pictured are for 463. The rear ones at least fit so perfectly around the interior bits of the 460. There wasn't enough of the fronts shown to see if they left gaps at the edges (463 footwells are narrower, no?).

But anyway Sean, I'd sure apreciate any info you can come up with. I'll need to order a few other things soon anyway so maybe a nice set of rubber mats will be in my future too.

Here's hoping.

RE: Floor Mats

The mats were an available accessory at one time, but they are no longer available. Got this info directly from DC this morning.

Nice weekend to all,

Don't even waste your money on the 463 rubber floor mats for the 460. They are TINY, taking up less than 50% of the rear floor surface area. They slide all around. A joke! Fortunately, MB gave me my $80 back.
