Hi,

I'm tidying some of the wiring, and I'm wondering what a certain component is. it's a small white ceramic thing, with VDO Bv62-240-205/1 24V - 6.86

it is mounted on a little metal plate that is fitted into a slot under the dash. Looks like a buzzer or something. I'm wondering what it does?

That is a buzzer. The switch for it is on the front cargo bed wall; sticking out right in the middle on the top. It was required if you had troops on back and they needed to communicate an emergency stop to the driver.

Super! Thanks for that.

it looks like it's been fitted and re-fitted a few times with way too many connectors and dodgey wires. I'll just stick it on a shelf in my garage.

my army time was ages ago, but I believe it has all these wires because it functioning or not and volume of it was controlled by the IR and main light switch. Nut I can be wrong on that part
