You most likely have a bad motor. I have had lots of them do it. Your best bet is to pull the whole heater box out, take the heater core to a radiator shop and have it checked and rebuilt, take the motor and switches to a auto electric shop, it is usally a bosch motor, easy to rebuild or replace, take the heater box case, blast it and repaint it, put it all back together and you have a new heater box for about $100 VS. $1400 from MB.[:D]

Your "3" wires should be 1- switched power from ign switch, 2- ground wire, 3- should be a wire to the condenser/relay. There should be only the 1-2 wires coming from the truck to the heater, then inside the heater is the 3rd wire. hope this helps.[:D]
