A yoga master couldn't do anything in those back seats! This one looks nothing like a stock one

He may be confused b/c it should say SL500, so maybe he doesn't know what he has.

Well, they don't look like my '97 SL500 - see photographs of up and down, but 500SL (as opposed to SL500) WAS the correct badging on early 129s so maybe thats what they are? I was under the impression that the kinder seats were not an option in the States but may be wrong. If they're new why half a seatbelt?

Regards
Steve

Hi Steve and Tommyboy. It looks like they are seats to the "early" 129 body as seen at J&J:

Mercedes SL Rear Jump Seat | Mercedes Rear Jump Seats | MB 129 Jump Seat | Benz R129 Chassis | Third Seats | 3rd Seat | Bose | Non Bose | Kinder Seat | Child Seat | Extra Seating | Folding Seat | Back Seat | Aftermarket | SL500, SL600, SL320, 300SL,

That said, I have a 107 and worked for a Mercedes dealer in the mid 80's so I am not overly familiar with the contemporary SL's. But my mom does drive an SLK320 - no backseat there!

Hi PageZ,
They look nice but are not very practical. Having said that, here's a picture of Paris Hilton in the back of my '97.....

Actually, before I'm sued by PH's lawyers, it's actually my Grand-Daughter Millie PRETENDING to be Paris Hilton. Uncanny resemblance though :).
Regards
Steve

She's cute! I need a backseat for my little people too - they clamored for a convertible. Years ago my middle child pointed at a 560sl and said she wanted one. I lamented giving up my '86 SL, but recently got an '89 SL which I love.

I just adore the classic roadster style with real chrome bumpers. The only other body style that touched the 107 Mercedes, in my opinion, was the Alfa Romeo, but the Benz is a much better operating car.
