The one in the pic is not nearly yellow enough...it's a real, vibrant yellow.

Kevin
It's the pic, in real life it will be correct

True, camera color could be way off. Depends on the cost too....not going to spend $10-$15+ to find out if it's a bright yellow reman sticker. I actually know some places that print stickers and don't wallow in copyright issues...they just do it.:p

Kevin
The decals are $2.40 at the Classic Center.

I was giving good information on how a professional printer can make any sticker you may want, if you have something to copy...and with the correct colors. But have it your way, as I'm deleting all my content in the interest of subject 'purity'.

From a piece of trunk trim on a 1996 Cabriolet, there is a sticker on each piece with the part number just like this one.

I like it, these labels are getting more obscure by the page! These are hidden completely, but when found they give a reassuring sense of originality.

It seems that the number of labels and stickers found throughout the car is far higher than I originally thought, and with so much variation between models and years.

Thanks for the contributions.

For those unable to purchase certain labels via a US dealer, try eBay.de. I have seen various offerings there that can't be ordered in the UK, perhaps some of them NOS. My local dealer managed to obtain most including both trunk labels which surprised me considering the age of the car.

I'm glad the yellow sticker is back, it's a really important one if you want an original-looking engine bay. I don't give a damn what shade of yellow it is, either. It will never look like a 20-year-old sticker however it's printed... patina and originality are not replaceable, as so many many over-restored or modified cars prove.

What's left of my yellow air cleaner sticker, is as bright yellow as Clark's last pic. I think that was a quality vinyl sticker from the get-go and not subject to fading like paper stickers.

Did anyone have a small round yellow sticker of the 3 pointed star on the glove box? Its faded yellow and quite thin and paper like. There was some text in German and I think it was an "all checked/ok" sticker that was put when it left the factory. I had it for many years till it just came apart. Anyone seen this before ?

In my car, this card is tied to the jack by a wire thread.

Most of the under hood decals are no longer availalbe. Which really sucks for anyone trying to restore. Does anyone know of anyone making reproductions or that have NOS decals stock piled? There must be a mountain of them somewhere on some dusty shelf that has long been forgotten.

I think that about a lot of hobby parts. But in the end, it mostly just drives me crazier.

As of a year or three ago, most of them (possibly all) were still available.

Which ones specifically are NLA today?

All the ones you would find on the radiator support are NLA. I have a 94 E320 USA. My friend who has a 93 500E and a body shop also was unable to buy any for his car.

Oh I also learned this week that the rear bumpers for our cars are also NLA :eek Of all the things they could discontinue, bumpers should not be one of them.

Availability Update

Just got these two from mboemparts.com. The SRS was $4.44, 1268173820. The other was $2.00, 1235849321. Very cool.

I recently tried to order all the stickers from Mercedes for mine, including that SRS sticker, and was told that none of them were available. Guess I will try another source, though I'm not sure it's worth it for me if I can't get the others...

Where exactly did you try to buy them?

MB Classic is showing both as "available", at the moment anyway:

I am pretty sure it was Mercedes Benz of South Atlanta (mbpartsworld.com), but I would need to dig through my old emails to be sure. There are two emissions stickers and an air conditioning sicker that I am more concerned with. There is also one abut proper coolant, but that one is of lowest concern.
