Hello,

My 124 is having some ignition problems and before I start trouble shooting I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to start.

If the vehicle has been sitting for a couple of days it starts perfectly and drive perfectly. However once it reaches operating temp (approx 90) it begins to miss fire and has trouble moving off from a stand still.

If I leave the car to idle for about 15mins the problem is then rectified drives perfectly.

I have replaced both fuel pumps as a precaution and am now sure that it is a spark issue.

The fact that the car starts without a problem and runs without a problem after being left to idle for sometime makes me think that it has moisture somewhere in the ignition sys which needs to be evaporated before it will run normally.

Besides the coil and distributor and plugs does anyone know where else to look?

Thanks
