Is there a buyer's guide for the W123 models, specifically the turbodiesels, anywhere online? If not online, is there a good book out on these cars?

A $20 paperback, "Mercedes-Benz Buyer's Guide" published

by Motorbooks and available at most big chains like Borders and Barnes and Noble has a lot of good tips on "daily drivers," things to look out for, and a very good historical background on everything MB ever made thrown in. Make sure to get the "second edition" by Frank Barrett.

if anyones has barret´s mbenz buyer´s guide, what relevant stuff does it say about the diesels

it seem like a good guide to buy a mercedes but i don´t have that much money. what important info specs need to know good ole tips that a person should know about buying a used mb diesel. the book only has 14 pages on diesels. i don´t want to pay 24.95 dollars for those 14 pages only. if anyone has the book and scanned the diesel pages and can post them i would appreciate it as a mb diesel fan.i am sure it would be of good use to others too.or at least post some valuable information from the book at this forum.that would be great too
