I think I read enough that confirms my belief that Mercedes cars these days are crap. Maybe the article was edited for copyright protection. Nonetheless, the thrust appears to duplicate opinion held everywhere by everyone. I admit being tempted to buy a v12 600 - thank God my sanity returned before my 560sel became a longed for memory.
But - whew! - it was close for a while, and I owe a debt to honest W140 owners on this forum (and others) who give hard truth honest opinions on their cars. The German economy is total crap - (yep - even worse by far than USA). I think their could be a correlation somehow with the Mercedes decline. Opinion anyone?

I think it's this issue of Automobile magazine has a story of MB dropping to number 28 or 33 in relaiblity of European survey in 2004. There's picture of a rusting three point star.
